We visited Dubai in March 2019 for a short break. We've always booked all of our stays through Booking.com & when searching for hotels, we came across "Rove Downtown". One word to describe Rove : ahhhmaaazinggg!
Upon checking in, the staffs were super friendly & welcoming. Everything was a breeze & the lobby was super impressive. We were given 2 complimentary tickets to the cinema ... yes, there's a cinema. in. the. hotel.
The lounge was really nice & there is a mini mart that sells drinks, snacks, bread, cup noodles, little toileteries (& I can't remember what else). Apart from being able to use their iMacs for whatever reason you can't wait to get on to the internet, you can also play the xbox at the game corner.
Room was super clean! & room service was excellent.
Other services includes luggage locker - so if you have to check out at 1pm but your flight will be at midnight then you can keep your luggage at the lockers available while you explore more of Dubai. There is also a super clean musollah & laundry services (you can choose to do it yourself or get the hotel to do it for you).
Yes, of course the hotel has a swimming pool. A gym. Lots of activity / meeting rooms & more play area too.
We'd rate 10/10 for location. You can walk to Dubai Mall & Burj Khalifa without panting. But if you don't feel like walking, the hotel provides free shuttle service to almost all of the touristy places like : Dubai Mall, La Mer Beach, Dubai Museum, Souk Madinat & City Walk.
We travelled around via hotel shuttle, taxis - they're easy to get & Careem (our favourite app to use when in Saudi too!) So far, they're all safe & reliable.
